A risky decision

February 7th, 2012

As I told you in my last income report I have some trouble with adult-ads being displayed in my kids-apps. There does not seem to be a quick solution to this, so I decided to give paid-apps on Android a go. There is not a free version of my Animal Puzzle For Toddlers available anymore on the android market. Instead, there is now a LITE and a PAID version available.

I’m sure many people will get upset after updating to the new version and seeing that they now have to pay for what they got for free in the past. So I included the information in the description that people who want to stick to the old, free, (adult)-ad-supported version should not update. That’s all I can do. As you might understand, I don’t feel comfortable about that adult-ad stuff. Plus, I don’t need that many sales on Android to compensate the loss of ad-revenue. So this is a good way to find out how sales on Android perform anyway :)

I’ll keep you posted on how this story continues.

Another bugfix update and 60k downloads

January 28th, 2012

I managed to fix the iPad freeze-bug (again and this time hopefully for real), the update is already available in the app-store.

So Animal Puzzle and Dino World should work fine on the iPad now.

And btw, Animal Puzzle for Android got 60k downloads now. So that’s 10k downloads in four days! Thanks everyone! Aminig for the 100k now ;)

50k downloads reached

January 24th, 2012

I’m proud to tell you that my Animal Puzzle For Toddlers app reached 50k downloads on Android yesterday! It just surpassed Bloo Kid which has about 49K atm. Thanks a lot for the downloads and the good ratings. Keep on having fun :)

Working on a bugfix for my puzzle games

January 17th, 2012

Just wanted to let you know that I finally reproduced that freeze bug that was reported several times. I could convince my wife that I need an iPad to reproduce the bug. (She now uses the iPad more often than I do :D). But it still took some aid from my little testers until I found out how it happens.

It has something to do with that “swipe with all your fingers to switch applications” gesture. (I’m sure there is a fancy name for it, but I don’t know it yet).

So finally I can start fixing that bug. Updates should be available in about 1-2 weeks, dependant on the time that it takes apple to review them.

Animal Puzzle FTW

According to Applyzer.com (my favorite website to see the rankings of my apps), the people in Ghana really like my Animal Puzzle For Toddlers app. Just check out the current grossing rank (right side of the picture).

Updates for three of my apps

January 7th, 2012

Hi folks,

there are updates available for
Farm For Toddlers,
Animal Puzzle For Toddlers and
Dino World

The updates contain bugfixes like a crash when placing a puzzle piece as well as some improvements like a back-slider button instead of a back button. I’ve also removed many of the popups and social buttons to make the usage more toddler-friendly :)

Updates are available for iOS and Android.
